Kiss the Cow Farm

Kiss the Cow Farm is a Barnard, Vermont organic, grass-based dairy selling milk and ultra-premium ice cream from a small herd of Jersey cows. They also raise and sell pastured eggs and chickens. Randy and Lisa Robar have been feeding their community for 11 years.

After purchasing a 30-gallon pasteurizer with their first VFF loan in 2015, Randy and Lisa came back to the VFF for a second loan to purchase a larger pasteurizer and bottler-capper so they can efficiently meet current demand for their pasteurized milk. A larger pasteurizer will mean fewer batches, less labor, and increased net per unit produced.

A bottling and capping machine will speed up the filling of milk jugs, also saving labor.
