Newleaf Organics, LLC is a certified organic farm, growing approx 5 acres of vegetables, cut flowers and plant starts in Bristol, VT. Jill Kopel has owned the business since its beginning and employs a crew of 3-4 seasonal part/full-time employees. They currently market through a 70 family summer CSA, 40 family winter CSA, a farmers market in Waitsfield, wholesale veggies and plants and flower bouquets to 1 -2 large co-ops, and floral designs for weddings/special events.

They received a $30,000 Business Builder Loan to convert the downstairs of their dairy barn to a new wash/pack and storage facility, addressing GAP food safety issues, increasing efficiency in their wash/pack process, and extending their storage season. The new space will have separate areas for flower and vegetable processing, and allow them to increase their array of products.
