Rogers Farmstead

Rogers Farmstead is an organic dairy and grain farm. Established in 2012 in the Dog River valley, Nathan and Jessie Rogers started the farm with eggs and grains. In 2014, they traded in the chickens for cows to transition to a dairy farm while continuing to grow wheat for bakeries and their own freshly milled flours and pancake mix. They became a value added dairy producer in 2016 with the introduction of a yogurt line. 100% of their milk is used in their own branded products (milk, chocolate milk, yogurt, and cheese) sold in local stores, to coffee shops, and in their farm stand.

Their $30,000 Business Builder Loan from the Vermont Farm Fund will allow Rogers Farmstead to purchase a refrigerated delivery van that will allow for growth as their distribution expands. And by distributing themselves, they can get their products to market fresher, which is key for dairy products with short shelf life.
